Class 2

Hello and welcome!
In this blog, we’ll explore how to improve your listening skills through everyday greetings and introductions, helping you better understand and respond in real-life conversations. Also, we´ll explore the reading comprehension. Let´s dive in!!

OUR CLASS

Greetings and Introductions - Listening comprehension

Our recent group presentation aimed to create an engaging and educational experience for our classmates. We kicked things off with a lively warm-up session that lasted 5 to 7 minutes, designed to get everyone in the right mindset for learning.

Afterward, I took the lead in introducing some useful vocabulary that would be essential for the activities that followed.

Our main activity involved watching a carefully selected video, where students had to listen attentively and answer questions through a multiple-choice worksheet. This exercise encouraged active listening and helped reinforce the new vocabulary in a practical context.

To take things further, we moved on to a dynamic roleplay exercise. Students were asked to introduce themselves in various scenarios, simulating real-world situations. This post-activity allowed them to practice their conversational skills and become more comfortable with language use in different social settings

To wrap up the session on a thoughtful note, Asael spoke about the significance of sharing personal information responsibly. He also emphasized the importance of understanding when someone is requesting personal details, a topic that resonated with the group as we discussed the relevance of these skills in everyday interactions.

SECOND CLASS

To be verb: Reading Comprehension

Fatima’s group class was dedicated to strengthening our reading comprehension skills, with a particular focus on mastering the verb "to be."

We started by reading a variety of texts, where we were tasked with identifying the verb in different contexts, both in sentences and larger paragraphs. This exercise not only helped us recognize the structure and usage of "to be," but also gave us insight into how it's applied in different forms across various sentences.

The discussions that followed allowed us to clarify any doubts and explore examples together, which made the concept much clearer.

To wrap up the class on a high note, we transitioned into an interactive Kahoot game. The game tested our ability to spot and correctly use the verb "to be" in different situations, turning what could have been a simple review into a fun and dynamic learning experience.

This added layer of friendly competition helped reinforce the lesson while keeping us engaged and motivated. Overall, it was a highly productive class that not only deepened our understanding of the verb "to be" but also made the learning process enjoyable and interactive!

That’s it for this week! Thank you for following along, and I hope you enjoyed the content. See you next week for more learning and fun. Until then, take care!
