Prepositios + Classroom Vocabulary
Welcome to this week’s blog! I'm excited to share with you the highlights of our recent classes and the valuable lessons my classmates have taught. Learning from them and seeing how they creatively approach different topics is always a pleasure.
This week, we explored two
interesting subjects. The first was prepositions, where we learned how to
properly use words like "in," "on," and "at" to
describe location, time, and movement. My classmate made the lesson engaging
with examples and interactive activities. The second topic was reading
comprehension, which focused on classroom vocabulary. We practiced identifying common
items like "desk," "chalkboard," and "projector,"
and applied this vocabulary in various reading exercises that helped us improve
our understanding of the text. Both sessions were
fun and informative!
PREPOSITIONS
Maddie’s group taught us about prepositions, specifically focusing on
prepositions of place like in, on, at, under, above, and across from. They
provided several examples to clarify their use, and to make the lesson more
engaging, they read a story where we had to place objects based on the
prepositions mentioned. This activity helped us better picture and understand
how prepositions work in context. Prepositions are crucial because they help us
describe the location and position of things, making our communication clearer
and more precise. At the end, they also handed out candies as a fun reward.
CLASSROOM VOCABULARY
Ale’s group taught us classroom vocabulary. They asked us to
describe our teacher in one word and share our favorite subject and why. Then,
they introduced important words like assignments, projector, attendance,
worksheet, and whiteboard. We also did two written activities where we read a
story and answered questions on two worksheets. In the end, some of us
explained what we had learned, and they gave us gummies as a treat. Learning
classroom vocabulary is important because it helps us understand and
communicate better during lessons, making it easier to follow instructions,
complete tasks, and participate in discussions.
This week, we learned about the importance of classroom vocabulary and how to use prepositions of place. Both lessons were engaging and helped us improve our communication skills in practical ways. From describing where things are to understanding keywords used in class, these topics will help us in future lessons.
Thanks for reading, and see you next
week!
